In-form striker Jo Kuffour is hoping he will be able to extend his loan period with Gillingham when it expires on Friday.

The Bristol Rovers loanee has scored seven goals in his last nine appearances for Andy Hessenthaler's team, including a brace at Crawley on Boxing Day, and Kuffour is hoping his boss will be able to finalise an agreement to keep him at Priestfield. Kuffour told Kent News: "I'm loving it here and I've spoken to the gaffer already. "He said he's trying to extend my stay, the matters are out of my hands. "I'm enjoying my time here - the lads, the fans, the management. I haven't known fans like it, to be fair. "I'm just enjoying my football again."
