Teenage full-back Jake Bidwell is hoping Everton will agree to let him extend his loan deal at Brentford beyond early January.
Bidwell has made three appearances since joining the Bees on loan and is currently available for the club's next three League One matches.
The 18-year-old is enjoying the chance to play first-team football and is waiting to see if Everton will let him remain at Griffin Park.
"I've settled in well," Bidwell told the Hounslow Chronicle. "There's a few things I've had to get used to that we do differently here than at Everton.
"But now I've done that it's great to be getting games regularly. I would definitely stay here longer if I could but that's not down to me.
"Everton have let me come down for a month, so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't want to extend the deal if it's making me a better player.
"I want to see as much of the city as I can when I get some time to myself or a few days off. It's hard being away from home at times but it's a sacrifice worth making when you're out there playing."
