Boss admits interest in forward

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed he is interested in signing Hamburg striker Maximilian Beister. The 21-year-old came through Hamburg's Academy but has been out on-loan at Bundesliga 2 outfit Fortuna Dusseldorf since the summer of 2010. The forward has impressed with his performances for Dusseldorf and Hamburg are keen for him to return to the club at the end of the season. However, current Bundesliga champions Dortmund are also interested in Beister, with Klopp admitting he is an 'exciting' player after seeing him first-hand in a DFB Pokal clash between the two sides this week. "Maximilian is a fantastic talent," Klopp told Westdeutsche Zeitung. "He is a real topic and it is obvious we are talking about such a player regularly. "He is an extremely exciting player, he should be able to transform his performances from Bundesliga 2 to Bundesliga 1."
