Mehdi Abeid insists he is the solution to Newcastle boss Alan Pardew's growing selection problems.
Pardew is without the suspended duo Yohan Cabaye and Dan Gosling ahead the visit of West Brom on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old midfielder joined the club in the summer but has found himself restricted to a single appearance against Nottingham Forest in the Carling Cup so far.
But the midfielder has impressed in training and Pardew could hand him his Premier League debut - something the teenager admits he is ready for.
He said: "Yes, sure, I am ready. I feel good. My fitness is good, I really feel very, very good and if the coach needs me, I will be here for the team.
"Every player wants to play in the Premier League and it's my wish too, to play for the first team.
"Now I am waiting and when the gaffer gives me the chance, I will answer him and I will be here for the team.
"I am really happy here and I am learning every day from very good players. I am really learning and progressing.
"The coach is a very, very good man, a very good person. He has confidence in me and that's important for me, to have the confidence of the coach."
