Wolves defender due to remain part of League One side's promotion bid

Skysports.com understands Wolves defender Danny Batth is ready to extend his loan deal at Sheffield Wednesday until the end of the season. Batth has started all 21 games for the Owls in League One this term after returning to Hillsborough for a second loan spell in August. The 21-year-old's current deal is due to expire in January, but it is understood the highly-rated centre-half will see out the campaign with Gary Megson's side. The Owls are pushing for promotion back to the Championship and Batth has played a key role in the club currently sitting in second spot in the table. He made 10 appearances on loan for Wednesday last term after also spending a brief stint at the club's Steel City rivals Sheffield United. Batth has made just one senior appearance during his time at Wolves after coming through the ranks at Molineux and has previously had a spell at Colchester United.
