Oldham Athletic's highly-rated winger Chris Taylor insists that he is in no rush to sort out his long-term future, with the festive schedule in full flow.
Taylor, who turned 25 on Tuesday, has caught the eye once again this season with a series of stunning performances for his hometown club.
The tricky wide-man's contract at Boundary Park is set to expire at the end of the season, which has alerted several Championship clubs to his possible availability in January.
However, Taylor has stressed that he is keen to concentrate solely on the upcoming games rather than thrashing out a new deal.
"The football is coming thick and fast at the minute, so there isn't much time to talk about contracts and stuff," Taylor told skysports.com.
"I've spoke to the gaffer about it and he is keen to keep me here and offer me a new deal, so that is great news for me because you always like to feel wanted at a club, but at the minute I'm just keen to let my football do the talking and let other matters work themselves out after that.
"There are some big games coming up that everyone should be looking forward to against teams that are riding high, with the league leaders just gone.
"Obviously, they will be big tests for us to see how far we've come and how good we really are, so we are all relishing the big games over the Christmas period."
