On-loan Kilmarnock striker Dean Shiels will miss the Christmas Eve clash with Celtic amid fears he has suffered a broken ankle.
The 26-year-old, on loan from Doncaster Rovers, picked up the injury during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Dundee United.
Killie manager, and the forward's father, Kenny Shiels has revealed he will be sent for an X-ray to assess the problem.
Shiels, who returns to Rovers next month when his loan deal expires, is sure to miss Saturday's game at Parkhead and could face a lengthy spell out.
The manager told the Daily Record: "His ankle is swollen so we're sending him for an X-ray.
"Even if it's not broken he'll miss the Celtic game."
