Hearts winger wants out over lack of action

Andrew Driver's agent has confirmed the Hearts winger has submitted a transfer request. The ex-England Under-21 international was removed from Paulo Sergio's squad for Saturday's win over Dunfermline after revealing he wanted to leave. The 24-year-old, who has made five SPL appearances this season, had grown tired of a lack of first-team opportunities. Hearts turned down two bids for Driver over the summer and his agent, Scott Fisher, has insisted a solution must be found. Should Driver not move on in the New Year, then Fisher has said the winger will continue to give 100 per cent to the Tynecastle club.

Loyal

"Andrew has been a loyal servant to Hearts," explained Fisher. "I saw some things that the manager said about his loyalty and commitment. "Nobody questioned these things when the club turned down two great offers for the player. "Or when the player was turning up at his work every single day and making himself available for selection on Saturdays and not being paid. "If somebody doesn't like you or want you to play, you find a solution. "A written transfer request has been put to Hearts. We would be looking to leave in January on a loan or a permanent deal. "If that doesn't happen, he remains an employee of the club and will give 100 per cent for Hearts as he always has done."
