Steve Kean has confirmed veteran defender Michel Salgado can leave Blackburn when the transfer window opens next month.
The 36-year-old is currently missing through injury, but talks have taken place in Madrid between Rovers and the player's representative when it was confirmed this season would be his last at Ewood Park.
And with Rovers' owners Venky's looking to trim costs, boss Kean has confirmed the Premier League strugglers will look at January offers for the former Real Madrid man.
He said: "Michel won't be here next season.
"If there is an opportunity for him to find another solution in this window that is something we would look at.
"(It is) out of respect for the player to give him the heads up that this will be his last season."
