Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud claims Benoit Tremoulinas is attracting interest from across Europe, but insists the full-back is not for sale.
Clubs from England, Germany and France have expressed an interest in the 25-year-old, according to Triaud.
Roma were understood to be leading the chase, with the Serie A outfit in the market for a new left-sided defender.
Bordeaux are aware of the mounting speculation regarding one of their key men, but Triaud insists there is no substance to the rumours.
"The interest from Roma? There has been no contact," he told calciomercato.com.
"Requests for Tremoulinas have come from France, Germany and England. But the player is not for sale.
"We want to keep him until at least the end of the season. After that we will see what happens, but June is a long way off.
"Benoit's contract does not expire until 2014, so there are no problems there."
