Crawley are set to put the wheels in motion to sign talented midfielder Andy Drury on a permanent basis in the January transfer window.
The 32-year-old will play the final game of his three-month loan spell with Town at Crewe on Saturday.
Drury has made 14 appearances and scored four goals, and has amazingly yet to taste defeat since he arrived in west Sussex from Ipswich Town in September.
And with his side currently top of League Two, manager Steve Evans wants Drury to be part of their promotion bid in the new year.
"He's been top-drawer for us," said assistant boss Paul Raynor after last week's win over Burton.
