Defender believes his coach has no confidence in him

AC Milan defender Taye Taiwo has hinted that he is exploring the option to leave the Italian club in January after failing to feature regularly in the first team so far this season. The Nigeria international left-back joined Milan during the summer transfer window but has failed to break into Massimiliano Allegri's starting line-up on a regular basis. Taiwo has featured just twice in Serie A this campaign and four times in the UEFA Champions League, and he is frustrated at the lack of confidence shown in him by Allegri. "Every day I suffer more and more because I am not given the chance to play," the 26-year-old told L'Equipe. "I came here to give my contribution, but I have always been on the bench and have played only six games so far. "Sometimes I go to the stands but I need to play to get into shape. "It seems clear to me that I don't have the confidence of Allegri. Staying under these conditions is not possible for me."
