FC Augsburg goalkeeper Simon Jentzsch will be unavailable until after the winter break having been told he must rest a finger injury.
The fitness problem had kept him out of action over recent weeks and, despite some 'intensive' training and further tests, it has yet to heal.
Jentzsch has admitted his disappointment at having to spend more time on the sidelines, but he recognises the rest is essential.
The 35-year-old told his club's official website: "It's a pity. I would have loved to help the team in the remaining fixtures until Christmas.
"But after intensive sessions in training and further tests, we have come up with a joint decision, together with the doctors.
"The finger needs some more rest. I am to stay unavailable for now."
