Chesterfield manager John Sheridan has revealed he is interested in signing Swindon striker Leon Clarke on a permanent deal.
Clarke completed a three-month loan spell with the Spireites as last season's League Two champions lost 3-2 at Wycombe on Saturday.
The 26-year-old scored nine goals in 16 appearances in all competitions during his stay at the B2net Stadium.
Clarke had an on-field bust-up with Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio following a Carling Cup defeat to Southampton in August and the Italian boss has publicly stated that he will not play for the club again.
"Leon has gone back to Swindon and I will have a chat and we will see if he is interested in coming, but there may be other club's interested," Sheridan said.
"But I will definitely be interested in him."
