Wigan boss Roberto Martinez claims Victor Moses is close to agreeing a new contract at the club.
The two parties opened talks earlier this year, but it was understood that discussions had not progressed in recent weeks.
But, following on from his goal in their win at West Brom, the Latics boss feels that Moses is set to commit his future to the club.
"We are very close to agreeing a new contract with Victor," said Martinez.
"He's got the talent to be whatever he wants."
Meanwhile, Martinez admits he is worried about a potential rib injury to Paraguayan defender Antolin Alcaraz.
"It is a little bit worrying. He is going to have a scan," he continued.
"His ribs, he can feel them when he is breathing, and the doctor had to apply some treatment. We fear that is a fracture."
