Portsmouth winger Liam Lawrence has declared that he wants to stay at the club and does not wish to leave in the January transfer window.
The former Stoke player has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest with some reports stating that he has already agreed a deal.
The right midfielder, however, is hoping that he can remain with Pompey even if the cash-strapped club are forced to sell their most expensive players next month.
"People are putting two and two together and getting five. There's nothing going on at the minute that I know about," Lawrence told The News.
"You never know, I suppose. I might be one they might be looking to get out if the financial situation doesn't improve. Sometimes in football these things are taken out of your hands.
"But I'm settled, my family is with me and I love it down here. I would much rather stay but I just hope the club gets sorted."
