Serbian midfielder Goran Lovre has left Championship club Barnsley by mutual consent.

Departure agreed by mutual consent

Serbian midfielder Goran Lovre has left Championship club Barnsley by mutual consent. The 29-year-old moved to Oakwell in the summer of 2010 from Dutch side FC Groningen. He made 23 appearances for the Yorkshire club during the 2010/11 campaign, scoring twice. However, he has been unable to make an impression this season, failing to make a single first-team appearance. His contract expires at the end of the campaign but it has been agreed that he should leave the club early. A statement on the club's official website said: "Barnsley Football Club can confirm that midfielder Goran Lovre has today left the club by mutual consent. "Barnsley Football Club would like to wish Goran the best of luck with his future career."
