QPR striker Jamie Mackie cannot wait to play against Liverpool at Anfield in Saturday's Premier League clash.
The Scotland international signed from League Two side Plymouth Argyle last year and he has stepped up his game now that he is competing in the top-flight of English football.
Mackie has declared that one of the bonuses of being a footballer is being able to play in such famous stadiums, telling the club's official website: "This is why I got involved in the game.
"I am massively looking forward to this weekend - it is probably one of the highlight fixtures of the season.
"Anfield is an unbelievable place to play football. It is going to be a great atmosphere up there, and I am sure our fans are looking forward to it as much as we are.
"My dad is a Liverpool supporter and there are a few lads in the dressing room who support them too, so it is going to be a special match.
"But we have got to work hard to try and bring our good recent football into this game. We want to go there and get a positive result."
The ex-Plymouth player has earned his way back into the first team after a ten-month injury lay-off and he wants to prove that he can cope with the high demands of the Premier League.
He added: "I want to show I can do well in this division. I feel I have done that already, but I want to do it again.
"Liverpool have got world-class defenders and I am looking forward to giving them a good test."
