League One outfit Bournemouth have confirmed they are in contract negotiations with attacking midfielder Marc Pugh.
The 24-year-old has reportedly been the subject of interest from a handful of Championship clubs but the Cherries want to tie him down to a new deal at the Seward Stadium.
Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell revealed the south coast club have offered Pugh revised terms and are currently waiting on a response from the player.
He told the Cherries' official website: "We've currently put an offer to Marc, we would like to keep him and make him a part of our promotion bid.
"We are aiming high and we would like him to be a big part of it.
"We put a bid to him five or six days ago now and we are hoping to hear back from him shortly."
