Lille midfielder Joe Cole will do his utmost to help the club into the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
Rudi Garcia's men are currently third in Group B and they have the opportunity to finish in second place if they defeat Trabzonspor on Wednesday.
Cole, 30, who is on loan from Liverpool, understands the importance of the upcoming fixture and is keen to get the job done.
"It will be a big day for the club and I'm very excited about helping the club achieve this goal," said Cole to The Sun.
"Everybody really wants to make sure we get the job done. My objective when I came here was to help the team again become champions - and to make the next stage of the Champions League.
"We have to set our targets very high. This is what we are working for. It's important to win back-to-back titles - this is what great teams do and what we have to do.
"The people here are full of energy and are ready to take this club to the top of French football - and maybe to the top of European football.
"I'm very confident in my team. It's exciting to play with Eden Hazard and Moussa Sow. You see the way we like to play, with expression and joy."
Hazard, 20, has earned interest from several big European clubs and Cole believes his team-mate is a real talent.
Cole added: "He is special - our star player. He reminds me of Rooney because he's fearless."
