Chris Hughton has yet to make a decision on whether to try to extend Chris Wood's loan at Birmingham City and is not worrying about losing Nikola Zigic in January.
Wood has impressed during his time at St Andrew's and is currently due to return to parent club West Bromwich Albion in the New Year.
Reports have suggested the teenage striker could stay with Birmingham until the end of the season, but Hughton is in no rush to decide his transfer plans.
"We will assess him over this period and you have to keep tabs on players that might be available in January," said the Blues boss.
"We will then make those decisions accordingly."
Serbian forward Zigic is another player whose future at the club is uncertain amid reports the Blues may have to sell in January to ease the wage bill.
Zigic had been tipped to leave Birmingham in the summer following relegation from the Premier League, but Hughton is currently counting on the 31-year-old for the remainder of the campaign.
He added: "We have to believe, unless told differently, that everybody will still be here at the end of the season.
"There's no concern for me that Zigic might be going in January. He's still a Birmingham City player now and that could be the case come February, March and April."
