Spurs boss refuses to rule out move for Chelsea striker

Harry Redknapp admits he would be interested in taking Didier Drogba to Tottenham if the opportunity presents itself. Reports suggest Drogba is edging towards the exits at Chelsea, with the Blues prepared to part with the Ivorian and his fellow frontman Nicolas Anelka in January. The likes of Marseille and Anzhi Makhachkala have been strongly linked with a move for Drogba, with it speculated that he will look to leave England. He will, however, have Premier League options should Chelsea look to move him on in the New Year. Tottenham would be happy to offer him the chance to stay in London, with Redknapp a fan of the burly 33-year-old.

Fantastic

He admits to being unsure as to whether a deal could be done, but admits he would welcome the addition of a proven goalscorer to his White Hart Lane ranks. "Drogba is a top player, a fantastic player, so, who knows?" said Redknapp. "I couldn't sit here and say we wouldn't be interested. "Anyone would be interested in having Didier Drogba in their team but we have not made any enquiries."
