Doncaster Rovers have snapped up former Newcastle defender Lamine Diatta a short-term contract.
Diatta, who spent two months at Newcastle in 2008, arrives on a free transfer after impressing on trial at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Rovers boss Dean Saunders was keen to bring in the stopper after losing a number of players to injuries recently.
"He's an experienced player and played in the World Cup," said Saunders.
"He's not playing for anyone so we can get him now because we need all the bodies we can get."
