AC Milan star Kevin Prince Boateng has urged the San Siro hierarchy to snap up Carlos Tevez in the January transfer window.
Former Tottenham and Portsmouth midfielder Boateng believes the wantaway Manchester City striker would be the "perfect" signing for the Serie A title-chasers.
The Argentine international's advisor Kia Joorabchian recently admitted he has already held talks with Milan.
But it is thought the Italians only want to bring in a loan player as they look to find cover for Antonio Cassano, who has recently undergone heart surgery.
Whether City would be open to a temporary deal remains to be seen and Milan are also understood to have identified Catania forward Maxi Lopez as another option.
Boateng said: "Maxi Lopez is good and plays well. But Tevez would be perfect for Milan.
"He's fast, can defend and is aggressive. I think that the San Siro wants a player like him.
"But it is not for me to decide. Tevez could act as a playmaker, or open up to the right or left."
