Oldham defender Zander Diamond is eyeing a new contract following his move to Boundary Park on a free transfer from Aberdeen.
Diamond joined Latics in the summer and was handed a 12-month rolling deal.
Boss Paul Dickov last week confirmed preliminary discussions were underway with Chris Taylor and Kieran Lee to extend their contracts that expire at the end of the season, and Diamond is keen to be the next man at the negotiating table.
"I signed for a year with a year rolling but it's up to the manager and directors," the 25-year-old told the Manchester Evening News. "All I can do is keep playing, stay fit and keep in shape but I've said I'm very happy here.
"It's a pleasure going into training every day - the fire's back in the belly and that's down to the manager, the coaching staff and the office staff.
"They've all made me fell really welcome - which helps with it being my first stay out of Scotland - so I'd be happy to sign a contract tomorrow."
