Reading winger Hal Robson-Kanu hopes his sparkling cameo off the bench against Peterborough on Tuesday night can ignite his season.

The Welshman came on as a second-half substitute to net the crucial third goal in the Royals' 3-2 comeback win at the Madejski Stadium - his third strike of the season.

With Jobi McAnuff suspended for the trip to Blackpool on Saturday, Robson-Kanu is in line to fill in wide on the left and the 22-year-old is ready to seize his chance.

"You want to continue to play and you want to be involved," he told the club's official website.

"You want to play a big part in things and I know what I'm capable of.

"My focus whenever I play is to continue doing well. I think I make an impact so it's always nice to continue doing that."
