Reported Premier League target Jordy Clasie is on the verge of signing a contract extension with Feyenoord, according to the club's technical director.
The 20-year-old midfielder is thought to be on the wishlist of several top-flight clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham after impressing in the Eredivisie.
But Feyenoord chief Martin van Geel has revealed that negotiations with Clasie are in the final stages and he is expected to commit to the Rotterdammers until 2014.
"The talks with Jordy are now approaching the final stage," Van Geel told NUSport. "It is now a case of working out the smaller details of the contract."
Clasie, a youth product at Feyenoord, has become a key player for the club this season, featuring in every league game.
