Swansea City full-back Angel Rangel is expected to be out for two weeks, but Danny Graham could be fit for Saturday's game at Blackburn Rovers.
Rangel and Graham were both forced out of the Swans' 0-0 draw at home to Aston Villa on Sunday after picking up ankle injuries.
The duo had X-rays on their respective injuries on Monday, which confirmed neither player had suffered any bone damage, and the club's medical team will wait for the swelling to go down before being able to make an accurate assessment.
But Rangel's injury is the more serious of the two and he will undergo a further scan in an attempt to determine the full extent of the problem.
Brendan Rodgers feels Rangel will be missing for a fortnight, but he hopes striker Graham will be available for the trip to Ewood Park.
"Danny suffered a soft tissue injury," the Swansea boss told the club's official website. "It is too early to say if he will be available for Blackburn.
"It could be a bit longer for Angel - maybe a couple of weeks. There was no damage on the X-ray but we need to look at his ankle ligament."
