Stephan El Shaarawy's agent has insisted the teenage midfielder will not be leaving AC Milan when the transfer window reopens in January.

The 19-year-old playmaker only moved to the San Siro from Genoa over the summer, but has struggled to establish himself as a regular in the side.

He has scored one goal in five league appearances for the Rossoneri so far this season, and has been strongly linked with a winter loan switch to Fiorentina.

However, El Shaarawy's representative Roberto La Florio maintains there is no truth in the transfer talk.

"It's all media speculation," La Florio is quoted as saying in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Convinced

"I have not been told by Milan the player will be loaned in January.

"Of course, we are pleased certain teams have shown an interest in Stephan.

"But I am convinced that Stephan, even though he has not played much in recent months, has acquired a lot of experience from training with great players.

"I know he would prefer to remain at Milan and continue to grow as a player."
