Blackpool striker Billy Clarke is willing to impress manager Ian Holloway and battle for his place at the club.
The Irishman has recently been on loan at Sheffield United and returned to the Tangerines' bench when his team drew 2-2 with Middlesbrough.
Clarke's loan move gave new additions Lomana LuaLua, Jonjo Shelvey and Callum McManaman the chance to impress in attack but he is still confident he can see off the stiff competition.
"The competition is fierce but I am confident I can get in," Clarke told the Blackpool Gazette.
"I like to think I can play and make a difference for the better.
"I didn't see any of the games while I was away but it's good we've been winning games.
"I am just happy to be back and looking forward to getting stuck in, impressing the manager and trying to win a place in the side."
