Ipswich manager Paul Jewell has revealed that Ronan Murray is set to seal a loan switch to Swindon.
The 20-year-old striker is regarded as an exciting prospect for the future but is not yet an established performer at Championship level.
Jewell is therefore keen to send him to the County Ground to gain some experience of playing regularly and aid his development.
"We think that Ronan Murray will be going to Swindon, which would be a great move for him," Jewell told the club's official website.
"I hope that the deal goes through for Ronan's sake, because he's a terrific lad and he needs to go to a level where he's going to play games and score a few goals, which I'm sure he will.
"The likes of Ronan, Luke Hyam and Tommy Smith do need to go out and play and I'm prepared to let the young lads go out on loan so that they can play regular matches."
Murray, who came through Ipswich's academy system, had a spell on loan with Torquay last season.
