Shaun Barker believes Derby can end their run of defeats despite having some tough games coming up.
The Rams have lost their last three games - to Cardiff, Peterborough and Hull. And things do not get any easier, with trips to West Ham and Crystal Palace sandwiching a home game with Brighton.
Barker returned to action against Hull City on Saturday after a seven month injury lay-off. He was plagued with knee problems last season and had surgery over the summer.
He told the club's official website: "This is an opportunity to get some points on the board and we'll be giving our all to make it happen.
"It's a challenging period, especially with Christmas coming up, but it's one we should look forward to rather than be worried about.
"I think once we get a result in our favour again it will give everyone a lift and we can re-focus on retaining our place in the top half.
"The last few results have been disappointing but we can turn it around because we have the players to make it happen."
