Bradford City are poised to bolster their attacking options with the loan acquisition of Charlton striker Paul Benson, skysports.com understands.
The League Two outfit have endured a difficult start to the season, with Phil Parkinson's side currently labouring in 22nd place following Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Rotherham.
Parkinson has spoken of a desire to add fresh faces to his squad and is now ready to add Benson's signature to that of Ricky Ravenhill, who last week joined the club on a two-month loan.
Benson has a fine record at this level having scored 70 goals in 174 appearances for Dagenham & Redbridge earlier in his career.
Such prolific form earned him a move to Charlton last year but despite a respectable goals return for the Addicks he has found opportunities hard to come by this season.
It is thought Benson will initially join the Bantams for a month, with the possibility of extending his stay should it suit both parties.
