Former Aberdeen winger Sone Aluko took a step closer to earning a deal with Rangers after he scored in a friendly.
The 22-year-old has been without a club since he left the Dons last summer but again shone in his second week on trial with the Scottish giants.
Aluko netted in the 3-1 win over St Mirren at Paisley and coupled with his displays in training, Gers boss Ally McCoist has been left impressed.
"I think, with the exception of Gregg Wylde, Sone is one of those players who has got pace and can go and take on a man and beat a man," he said.
"He can play on either side, he can probably play in the hole as well. He gives us that sort of option. He's definitely got talent, there's no doubt about that."
Rangers will hope they can conclude a deal for the Nigeria international swiftly so that they can utilise his ability for their title charge.
