Bristol Rovers will be without striker Scott McGleish for at least four weeks after he suffered an injury over the past weekend.

The 37-year-old striker, who has scored five times for Paul Buckle's side this season, came on in the 2-0 defeat to Barnet in League Two on Saturday, only to be substituted 11 minutes later after twisting his ankle.

"Scott's ankle got caught underneath him and it has swelled up massively," boss Paul Buckle was quoted as saying in the Bristol Evening Post.

"We can't get it X-rayed until the swelling goes down a bit, so it's going to take a few days before we know the full extent of the damage.

"But our physio Phil Kite's first thoughts are that it's going to be a minimum of four weeks, which is a huge blow because Scott has played a lot of games for us."
