Arsenal welcome back Abou Diaby back into their squad for the first time this season for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund.
The France international has yet to play for the Gunners this season having undergone surgery on his troublesome ankle during the summer.
However, Tomas Rosicky misses out against his former club after picking up a thigh injury and he joins Jack Wilshere, Bacary Sagna, Carl Jenkinson, Ryo Miyaichi and Kieran Gibbs on the sidelines.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is delighted to have powerful midfielder Diaby available again after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
"I am very happy - he has not played a minute this season and he had surgery in June," said Wenger.
Wenger also confirmed in-form striker Robin van Persie will start the game against Dortmund.
Van Persie, who has scored ten goals in his seven appearances, did not start the Champions League game against Marseille three weeks ago, but Wenger insists the Dutchman will be back in the starting XI for the visit of German champions Dortmund.
"He started on the bench last time because we had some medical concerns but we have no medical concerns at all now which means he will start," added Wenger.
Arsenal can book their place in the last 16 with victory over Dortmund and Wenger knows it is a big game for his side.
"Every player and member of staff is conscious that this is a big night for us. We have the desire to win the game", concluded Wenger.
