Primera Liga outfit Malaga have announced that Julio Baptista is to be sidelined for another four weeks with a foot injury. The Brazil international has been out of action since picking up the knock on 1st October in a meeting with Getafe. He fractured a sesamoid bone in his right foot during a 3-2 victory for his side. Baptista has undergone regular check-ups since then, but scans have shown no significant improvement in his recovery. As a result, his return to action has been pushed back by another month. Malaga, who announced the news on their official website, have also revealed that surgery may be required if progress continues to be slow. The burly South American forward is expected to miss at least six matches, including crunch clashes with Villarreal and Valencia.
