England international pledges future to Manchester City

Roberto Mancini is convinced the best is yet to come from Adam Johnson after he signed a new four-and-half year contract. The 24-year-old joined the Premier League leaders from his boyhood club Middlesbrough in January 2010 for an undisclosed fee. He has struggled to command a regular place since his switch, as Mancini has a wealth of attacking options, but despite this he has shown glimpses of his mesmeric talent. And the former Inter Milan boss is certain there is much more to come from his England international. The Italian said: "Adam is a good player for me. I think he can improve a lot, though. "After signing a new contract we have time to talk regarding this. I am sure (he is going to get better)."
