Shrewsbury Town boss Graham Turner has drafted in West Bromwich Albion defender James Hurst on loan until January.
The right-back, 19, has appeared for the Premier League club in the top flight and also spent time at Championship outfit Blackpool earlier in the current campaign.
Turner was delighted with his latest capture, telling the club's official website: "James is a player who we tried to sign earlier in the season but he went out to join Blackpool.
"He wasn't getting enough football there so Albion took him back and I made a chance call on Thursday and they agreed to let him join us until early January.
"He's a good defender, is good at getting forward but hasn't played too many times in West Brom's first team as yet."
