Sweden international positive about Baggies boss staying

West Brom defender Jonas Olsson has urged the club to give Roy Hodgson a new deal and has labelled him as his "best coach ever". The veteran coach's contract with the Baggies is due to expire next summer but his impact since taking over at The Hawthorns last term has been immense. Hodgson's vast experience could see him propelled to the head of the list of contenders to replace England coach Fabio Capello when he departs after Euro 2012. Club officials at the Midlands outfit have reportedly intimated they will start discussions with the former Liverpool and Inter Milan coach after Christmas, and Olsson would like to see a deal concluded swiftly.

Inspired

He told the Express and Star: "I'm very happy with the current gaffer and he's got the whole club behind him. "The playing squad and people involved in the club like to work with him. I definitely hope it'll be a done deal soon. "A quality he has is his desire to be here. You can see him eager to be out there and that's contagious. When you feel he is inspired, you get inspired yourself. "He's got tons of experience, almost 30 years in the business and he keeps us believing. He believes in his way of playing and doesn't change that."
