Ryan Bennett is paying little attention to speculation suggesting his rise to prominence will lead him through the exits at Peterborough.
The 21-year-old defender has enjoyed a standout season at London Road so far, featuring in all of the Posh's games and representing England at U21 level.
Unsurprisingly, his potential has been noted elsewhere and rumours of a January transfer have begun to circulate.
Bennett is aware of the gossip but claims to be fully focused on his football.
Peterborough broke their transfer record to land him from Grimsby in 2009 and he believes he still has work to do with Darren Ferguson's side.
Bennett told PUTV: "Football's obviously a funny game. This time last year no-one wanted me here, this time this year they're talking about different things.
"To be honest, I don't pay attention to that side of it. Until something happens, that's it.
"I won't think about that at all. All I'm concentrating on is spending the next two, three years with Peterborough and seeing where we can get the club."
