Ipswich Town have extended Danny Collins' loan deal by a week after the defender recently returned to parent club Stoke City.
The 31-year-old has recently become a father, and having subsequently pulled out of Wales' squad for their friendly against Norway, has spent much of his time back in Staffordshire.
That means Collins' loan stay at Ipswich has been able to be split into two stints and will now expire a week later than the original date of 10th December.
Town manager Paul Jewell told the club's official website: "Danny's been with his family and went back to Stoke for a short while but we've recalled him again.
"It made sense for a number of reasons and means he will now be with us for the Derby game on December 17."
Collins arrived at Portman Road in early September and has so far made 10 Championship starts for Ipswich.
