Mixed emotions for in-form Kuqi

Shefki Kuqi will take little comfort from his hot streak in front of goal if Oldham's inconsistent league form continues.

Kuqi's brace against Crewe in Tuesday night's 3-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy win moved his tally to 10 in 14 games since joining Paul Dickov's side in August. Further cup action is on the agenda against Burton on Saturday but Kuqi remains troubled by Latics' current lower mid-table status in League One and is not completely happy with his own displays. "Am I enjoying my football? Well, yes and no," he said. "It is probably one of the best spells of my career but I won't be happy with that. I think now I've played a few games and seen the opposition I should have a few more, but that's football. "If I could give five of my goals and swap them with five more points, I'd rather the team had five more points and I had five less goals. "When I joined I had no idea because I hadn't played this league and I didn't know what the teams are like but now I'm looking at the teams and thinking it is a good chance for us. I don't know what the rest of the team are thinking but in my opinion we should be at least four or five positions higher in the table. That's why I sometimes get upset."
