Napoli have played down speculation linking Marek Hamsik with a move away from the club by revealing they expect him to sign a contract extension at the Stadio San Paolo.
The Slovakian midfielder already has a deal with Napoli until 2015 but reports continue to suggest he could soon be heading elsewhere.
Paris St Germain are the latest to be connected with a swoop for Hamsik, while a number of English clubs have previously been credited with an interest.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis can understand why he is attracting such attention but insists he will not be going anywhere.
It is thought that Hamsik will be offered improved terms to keep him at Napoli until 2016.
"Hamsik will soon renew his contract with us," stated De Laurentiis on Thursday afternoon.
"He's a really important player. There are, at best, only three other players like him in the whole of Europe.
"Everyone wants him, but he's staying here."
