Croatia international feels Rangers are already too far in front

Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic feels that the Scottish Premier League title race is already effectively over. The Croatia international claims that the Gers' current 12-point lead means they have all-but sealed the championship. Jevalic believes that the gap is already too much for the chasing pack to catch up - despite the fact the season is not even at its halfway stage yet. "I am delighted. I am playing well and so are the team. We seem to score in every game," he told the Daily Record. "Of course, we need to stay in first place but the 12-point lead we have over Celtic should be enough to keep us there."

Play-off

Jelavic is in action this weekend as Croatia take on Turkey in their Euro 2012 play-off, although he is set for a place on the bench. "Of course I expect a place in the line-up because I am in good shape and have scored a few recently," he said. "But it's not me who decides, it's the manager and whatever he says I will listen to and accept. "We know it will be difficult but we can't miss out on another tournament."
