Wales boss Gary Speed has added Bristol City defender Lewin Nyatanga to his squad for a friendly date with Norway.
Speed had been left short on options at the back after seeing two senior stars withdraw from the fold.
Aston Villa centre-half James Collins and Stoke's Danny Collins have both been forced to pull out of the weekend meeting with Norway.
Wales have moved quickly to cover their absence and are happy with the group they are working with ahead of Saturday's clash in Cardiff.
Nyatanga is an experienced international performer and will slip seamlessly into the squad.
The 23-year-old has made 34 appearances for his country and is capable of filling in at the heart of the defence or at full-back.
While Nyatanga has added to Speed's options, he will be without West Ham midfielder Jack Collison as the youngster is nursing a knock.
