Ezequiel Lavezzi's agent insists big-spending Manchester City have never made an approach for the Napoli striker.
City were recently linked with a January move for the 26-year-old as a replacement for wantaway forward Carlos Tevez.
Roberto Mancini's first-team coach Fausto Salsano praised the talents of Lavezzi but insisted City already had enough attacking talent at their disposal.
Now the Argentina international's agent Alejandro Mazzoni has backed up Salsano's comments.
Lavezzi is also a reported target of AC Milan, who are looking to reinforce their strikeforce with Antonio Cassano ruled out indefinitely following heart surgery.
"Manchester City have never called me to enquire about Lavezzi," Mazzoni told Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
"Lavezzi is at Napoli and wants to remain there.
"I don't think it's right to discuss a possible move for Lavezzi right now as he must only concentrate on Napoli's season and the Champions League."
