Kaka and Marcelo are struggling with injuries

Real Madrid duo Kaka and Marcelo have been ruled out of Brazil's upcoming friendly internationals because of injuries. Playmaker Kaka is nursing a calf problem while left-back Marcelo has injured a muscle in his left thigh, and both players will miss their nation's matches against Gabon in Libreville on Thursday and Egypt in Doha four days later. "The players are prevented from playing due to muscular injuries, as confirmed by scans sent by Real Madrid to the Brazilian national team's medical department," read a statement on the Brazilian Football Confederation's official website. The CBF also added that Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo will not be able to take part in the Selecao's encounter against Gabon because he does not have "proof of vaccination" to enter the African nation. "Luiz Gustavo is out of the game against Gabon because he does not have proof of vaccination required to enter the country," reads a statement from the CBF. "The technical committee of the CBF states that the player has no responsibility for the problem.'' Gustavo though, will join his Brazil team-mates for their visit to Doha to play Egypt next Monday.
