Notts County midfielder Gavin Mahon is in line to return from a groin injury on November 19 at home against Huddersfield.
Notts County midfielder Gavin Mahon is closing in on a comeback from a groin injury.
The Magpies have not won since Mahon sustained the problem three games ago. Martin Allen's side have drawn against Bury and Wycombe and lost to Colchester.
Allen had hoped the 34-year-old would return against Wycombe on Saturday but he failed a fitness test on the eve of the game.
"He is a key player and he is tough to replace," Allen said. "Mahon plays a really important role in front of the defence.
"Fortunately, he is close to a return. He had a fitness test before Wycombe, but I wasn't willing to risk him because if he came back too early he could make it worse and be out for four to six weeks."
