Rotherham manager Andy Scott is hoping to extend defender Jon Harley's loan deal until January at Don Valley Stadium.
The Notts County left-back has spent the last month with the Millers and his initial deal expires after this weekend's clash with Aldershot.
Although the Millers have not won during Harley's stay, Scott is keen to keep him at the club.
"I have spoken to Notts County and we think we will be able to get something done on extending that," he said.
"We've got to speak to Jon and hopefully he is fine with it and wants to continue here and if that's the case, more than likely we will extend it through to January."
